AyurVANA, A Vibrant Repository of Herbs

AyurVAID Kalmatia is surrounded by a herbal garden gifted by nature, home to many endangered and exotice medicinal plants, and many others unique to Almora, Kumaon, Uttarakhand, and The Himalayas. Rolling downhills in an arc from the main entrance, appearing as a green cape fallen off the cottages and other man-made structures, AyurVANA  is pristine greenery atop the mount encompassing more than 10 of the 14 acres that houses AyurVAID Kalmatia.

Best witnessed in full bloom during the Autumn months of September to December, AyurVANA is evolving into an outdoor herbarium, that showcases specimens of medicinal and exotic plants for the discerning- for use in classical Ayurveda treatments, including Panchakarma therapies, as freshly prepared medicines.

AyurVAID Kalmatia is also home to a more than 700 year old Devadaru tree, a revered tree of medicinal value in Ayurveda.
