History

Established in 2005, AyurVAID Hospitals is a pioneering chain of new generation Ayurveda hospitals, dedicated to applying Ayurveda to solve modern health problems. with Seven hospitals across India – four in Bangalore, two in Kochi and one in Kalmatia (Kumaon, Himalayas), home to more than 60 leading Ayurveda physicians – and a growing network.

In 2009, AyurVAID Hospitals became India’s 1st Ayurveda hospital to be accredited by NABH (National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers). And to date is the only Ayurveda Hospital to have won the National Quality Award – it was a proud moment for the AyurVAID family and for the Ayurveda sector as a whole when the award was conferred on AyurVAID in 2012.

Since 2008, we are the only Ayurveda hospital chain to be recognized by the leading Third Party Administrators and nationalized and private insurance companies in India, thereby allowing the AyurVAID Hospital network to provide Ayurveda treatment under insurance over.

In March 2009, AyurVAID Hospitals were voted one of India’s 10 hottest start-ups by Business Today magazine. AyurVAID is one of three companies selected globally in 2009 for participation in a prestigious joint program from the Harvard Business School and Harvard School of Public Health. Students from Harvard Medical School fly over to AyurVAID Hospitals on residency programs.

AyurVAID is today the biggest chain of Ayurveda hospitals in India and has demonstrated strong clinical outputs in its years of operations.
