Dr.V Ajith Kumar

Dr Ajith is a Senior Physician at AyurVAID Hospitals & Clinics and brings over 22 years of experience in Ayurveda medical care to AyurVAID. He serves as Head, Diabetes Chikitsa Program, at AyurVAID. He is a graduate of the prestigious Government Ayurveda College, Mahatma Gandhi University, Kerala. He has also been awarded a fellowship in 1996 by IMPAI for excellence in clinical management of joint disorders.

An exceptional Ayurveda physician, he is highly respected by his peers and loved by his patients. Dr. Ajith specializes in non-communicable diseases with particular focus on management of diabetes, diabetic complications, cardiovascular disorders, skin disorders, orthopaedic-neurological conditions, and infertility. Further, his deep understanding of classical Ayurveda pharmacology enables the development of customized, potent medicines for the treatment of difficult/rare diseases.

Prior to joining AyurVAID, Dr. Ajith served in senior, multidimensional roles including Clinical, R&D, Quality Control, and Manufacturing roles at a leadership level with leading corporations in Ayurveda products and services. Dr.Radhika Varma

Dr Radhika is a Senior Physician at AyurVAID Hospital with 20 yrs. of experience in Ayurveda specializes in Ophthalmology, ENT, Migraine & other headache, Spine disorders, Gastrointestinal disorders, Muscle-Bone-Joint, Asthma, Arthritis, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Oedema, Psoriasis, Obesity, PCOS and Stress disorders.

Dr Radhika is a recipient of many Awards such as VaidyamadhamValiya Narayana Namboodiri Dakshinamoorthy Trust Award – 1993, Nair Service Society Gold Medal, Government Ayurveda College Teachers’ of Kerala Gold Medal, Indira Gandhi Priyadarshini Award – 2005 and many others.

She holds a Bachelor of Ayurveda Medicine & Surgery from Government Ayurveda College, Mahatma Gandhi University, Kerala, and is a Gold medalist. She is a Post Graduate from Bangalore University and a PhD in Shalakya Tantra, from IPGT & RA, Gujarat Ayurved University, Jamnagar.

Prior to AyurVAID, she worked as a Professor and Head of the Department for Shalakya Tantra in Ayurveda College, Sulur, Coimbatore. She was also an Assistant Professor in SDM College of Ayurveda as well as in Sri Ramakrishna Ayurvedic Medical College, Bangalore.

Dr.S V. Mrithunjaya Prasad

Dr. S.V. Mrithunjaya Prasad, Senior Physician at AyurVAID Hospital, Ramamurthy Nagar, brings 13 years of experience to AyurVAID. Dr. Prasad is an uncompromising adherent of pure Ayurveda, a quality and tradition that he acquired from his father who was a respected Ayurveda physician who practiced Ayurveda for more than 50 years.

He has experience in manufacture of Ayurveda medicines and remedies- a strength that he brings to the benefit of his numerous patients by preparing freshly prepared classical Ayurveda medicines that multiplies the efficacy and helps in curing the most chronic and complicated of ailments.

Dr. Prasad is an expert in the classical Ayurveda management of Gastrointestinal Disorders such as Ulcerative Colitis, Irritable Bowel Syndrome and Acid Peptic Disorders. Further, he has very good experience in the treatment of neurological and orthopaedic disorders.

He is known for his essays on classical Ayurveda in various academic fora and is widely respected for his integrity of purpose and commitment to the practice and growth of Ayurveda medical science.

Thereafter, he worked as Physician in Calicut branch as well as different agencies of The Arya Vaidya Pharmacy (CBE) Ltd in Kozhikode and Wynad Districts of Kerala. Later, Dr. Prasad served in different parts of Sultanate of Oman as Ayurveda Physician for more than 5 years. He understands Arabian culture and can converse fluently in Arabic.

Dr.Byresh Appaiah

Dr. Byresh Appaiah, a Senior Physician with over 12 years of experience to AyurVAID Hospital, is certified by the National Accreditation Board for Hospital & Health Care Providers as an official Assessor for AYUSH Hospital.

He specializes in Skin disorders (Psoriasis, Eczema, Vitiligo, Acne, Lichen Planus), Hepato-biliary disorders, Peripheral Vascular disorders (TAO, Varicose Veins), Respiratory ailments, Arthritis, Renal Calculi, Migraine & other headaches, Spine disorders, Gastrointestinal disorders (Ulcerative colitis), Obesity, PCOS, Non-Healing Ulcers, corn, and Occupational stress-related injury. Neurological disorders are an area of special interest.

Prior to AyurVAID, Dr. Byresh was a Lecturer in the Department of Kayachikitsa at SDM College of Ayurveda & Hospital, Hassan and co-guided post graduate scholars in their dissertation works. He also served at Sri Kalabairaveshwara Ayurveda College, Bangalore.

He has participated in clinical studies and research and carries multiple prestigious publications to his name. He continues to publish and lecture regularly on various aspects of Ayurveda and Health. In 2007, he was recognized as one among ‘Top Ten Consultants’ by SDM College of Ayurveda, Hospital, Hassan. He was a regular speaker on “Radio Doctor” of All India Radio, Hassan, and guest speaker in “NityaSanjeevini” a daily Ayurvedicprogramme by ETV.

Dr Byresh enjoys reading books, writing articles, teaching, delivering lectures, drawing, listening to music, travelling & adventure activities.

Dr. Zankhana Buch

Dr Zankhana is a Consultant Physician who brings with her 11 Yrs. of experience in the field of Ayurveda to AyurVAID Hospitals. She is a recipient of the Jeevaka Award in 2003 conferred by Himalaya Health Care Company for an academic excellence in BAMS in 2003.

Dr Zankhana has specialized in improving and enhancing the quality of life of Cancer patients with Ayurveda medicines and treatments.She has also specialized in Diabetes reversal, Gastroenterology and Women’s health.

Prior to AyurVAID she has worked as a Senior Research fellow at Cancer Complementary Clinic, KHS, Mumbai, with an eminent pharmacologist Dr Ashok Vaidya.

She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Ayurveda Medicine & Surgery from Gujarat Ayurveda University, Jamnagar. She is a Post Graduate from IPGT & RA, Jamnagar, and Specialized in Kayachikitsa. She has a publication in the journal- Clinical Cancer Investigation Journal: An official Publication of Middle Eastern Association for Cancer Research on Curcuma longa and Cancer.

Dr. Gita S Namboodiri

Dr. Gita S. Namboodiri, BSc, BAMS, brings with her 16 yrs. of experience in the field of Traditional Ayurveda practice.

Dr.Gita is a strong believer in the efficacy of Pure Ayurveda treatments in the management of all Life-style diseases like Hypertension, Diabetes etc. She has an expertise in the management of musculo-skeletal diseases & arthritis, neurological as well as ENT diseases. She has a good experience in treating women’s health issues like menstrual disorders, Leucorrhoea, PCOD etc.

She graduated in Ayurveda Medicine & Surgery from Govt. Ayurveda College, Sampoornanda University, Varanas, and holds a Diploma in Yoga from Banaras Hindu University. Dr. Rasmi has participated in international seminars and workshops at SDMCA&H, Hassan and presented several papers, including, “Ayurvedic approach to the diagnosis of Jalodara” in a Symposium on Udara Chikitsa, and the “Concept of Rasayana Chikitsa” in International level seminar held at Vaidyaratnam Ayurveda College and Hospital Thrissur, Kerala.

Dr.Rasmi Johnson

Dr. Rasmi Johnson, a Sr. Physician with 13 years of experience, specializes in Para surgical procedures, Kshara Karma (Caustic Cautery), Kshara Sutra (Caustic thread), Agni karma (Thermal Cautery) and Raktamokshana (Blood letting) for treating various ano rectal disorders and non healing wounds. Dr.Harshitha

Dr. Harshitha (B.A.M.S, MD (Dravyaguna), Phd) is a Physician and Research officer at AyurVAID Hospitals. She has clinical, academic and research experience in the field of Ayurveda. She has completed her post-graduation from SDM college of Ayurveda, Udupi and PhD from IPGT&RA, Gujarat Ayurved University, Jamnagar by conducting research exploring new herbs to treat life style diseases.

Dr.Madhu R Das

Dr.Madhu R Das, Sr. Physician at AyurVAID Hospitals, is passionate about Ayurveda, Dr. Madhu started his career as an Ayurvedic Physician in the year 1994. He entered the field of Ayurveda with an intention to serve the deserving and suffering people using Ayurvedic medicines and make them aware of the values of Ayurveda.

Dr. Madhu has served more than 15 years in healthcare service nationally and internationally and his expertise spans from chronic Skin conditions, Muscle and Bone Conditions, Infertility to Diabetic Management.

Picking up on his penchant for healing and wellness, he proved his medical caliber in Oushadhi (Ayurvedic Medicine Manufacturing Unit) for 1 year and from there to ‘Amala Cancer Hospital and Research Centre’ where he did research in AIDS & CANCER. His journey continued in Ayurveda in ‘Keraleeya Ayurveda Samajam Hospital’ at Shornour for a tenure of two years.

Having achieved a D Ac, B.A.M.S. and B.Sc. from Calicut University, he has also served at the Kerala Ayurveda Pharmacy Ltd in their various branches at Chennai, Aluva and Ernakulam as Medical Officer and branch in-charge for 8 years. Dr. Jayakumar R, B.A.M.S., M.D. (Ay) is a Consultant Physician, FERTILITY & REPRODUCTIVE MEDICINE, at AyurVAID Hospital, Cochin.

Dr. Jayakumar completed his research and thesis in the area of fertility and reproductive medicine under the guidance of eminent Allopathy practitioner Dr.Sathi.M.Pillai, (SAMAD IVF Hospitals, Trivandrum, Attingal, Kollam & Cochin) and under several distinguished Ayurveda practitioners. He has treated more than 80 couples and obtained excellent results. Dr. Asha Paulose

In a short span of 4+ years of experience Dr.Asha was fortunate enough to have worked with Sr. doctors at various clinics of Kottakkal Arya Vaidya Sala. Her focus of interest lies mainly on treating low back ache, sinusitis, gynecological diseases, obesity and beauty treatments including hair care treatments.
